Houston Development, Prep and AAU Basketball Teams

Houston Development, Prep and AAU Basketball Teams

Are you ready for something different in Houston youth basketball? This spring, we’re excited to announce the launch of new Prep and AAU basketball teams in the Greater Houston and surround area for girls grades 4–12th and boys grades 3–12th — part of a movement to reshape what competitive youth basketball can look like.

MVP PROSPECTS BASKETBALL

“Developmental / Competitive / AAU Basketball Program”

“What makes our MVP PROSPECTS Basketball program different?”

Many AAU basketball organizations in Houston and across Texas operate on a simple model: collect fees, fill rosters, and play tournaments. Unfortunately, that often means families pay hundreds or even thousands of dollars for a “competitive” experience — even when a player isn’t yet ready for that level. We’re different. Our program is player-first, development focused, and built for all skill levels — not just the elite few.

The MVP Prospects program is open to boys and girls who want to develop the right way.

Our full development pathway

We don’t believe in just “throwing kids into tournaments.” Instead, we provide a full development pathway that includes:

A development path for every player

Our mission is simple: every player deserves a place to grow. When you join our program, you’re not just joining a team — you’re entering a basketball community that meets players where they are and helps them reach the next level.

Spring 2026 season breakdown

Here’s the schedule and what to expect for the Spring AAU Basketball Season:

Tryouts & evaluations (December – Early March)

Starting in December, we’ll hold tryouts and evaluations across multiple Houston, Sugar Land, Pearland, Richmond/Rosenberg, Missouri City locations. This is your child’s chance to meet our coaching staff, showcase skills, and find the right place in our program — Development in-house League / AAU team, in-house league, or training program.

Team practices begin (March)

Teams will begin regular practice in March. Practices will be led by experienced coaches who focus on both individual development and team concepts:

Tournaments & games (April – June)

Tournament play runs April through June, with Saturday tournament games across Central Texas. These events provide high-quality competition, exposure, and an opportunity to implement what players learned in practice.

Why choose our program?

Our program puts development first — not just wins or roster building. Benefits include:

Travel transparency:

While many events are local, some practices and tournaments may require drives up to about an hour. We’re transparent about travel expectations so families can plan accordingly. The bigger picture: building basketball the right way inthe greater Houston area.

Youth basketball in Houston is growing fast — but too often the focus drifts away from what matters most: development, teamwork, and love of the game. Our new Development Program, Prep and AAU teams aim to bring integrity and purpose back to competition. We also collaborate with local coaches, trainers, and schools to offer holistic development — including strength basics, basketball IQ sessions, and leadership development that transfers off the court.

Ready to Join?

If your child is passionate about basketball and ready to grow, we invite you to join our program this spring.

At the end of the day, it’s not just about playing basketball — it’s about building players, leaders, and confident young athletes who love the game for life.
